Night fishing and our way how to do it

First let us explain that we fish only for sport and for fun. Never catch more than law allow us, never keep the fish under measure. Never catch species which is forbidden to fish for breeding.  We start fishing usually about an hour before sunset. While we drive a boat to our hot spot, we are preparing the bait, and after 5-10 min. anchorage. Before we start fishing, we are checking that anchor hold on. We are anchoring usually on the depths between 7 to 25 meters. Take out fishing tool and fishing begins.

We start fishing before sunset because that's the time when fish will feed intensive preparing for night. As night falling intensity of fish bite become rare. Usually we catch bigger fish, even in higher numbers.

We fish by the hand without fishing rod, because better feeling of fish and it's more fun, and we enjoying it. We fishing with two tools, one with three hooks witch we are holding all the time. Two hooks we put one under another. Higher hook catch beyond about 1 meter under the bottom, and third hook catch on the bottom. The other fishing tool we made of one bigger hook an lead with free movement on the fishing line. Other tool we throw 10-15 meters away from boat and let it fish by itself. When fishing line start to go in sea, it's time for one fast and strong pull, that will make hook penetrate in the fish's mouth. Withdraw  begins, we prepare holder net because self-catching tool always bring bigger fish, and we turn on light to see and succeed to bring fish on the boat. About light we must confess that we try all kind of light, including cellphones, hand lights, petrol lamps... The most suitable source of light are head lamps, always easy to access. Just to be sure we have strong hand light.

For bait most often we use squid or fish pieces or even combination of these two.
However the most important thing in night fishing is patience, because sometimes could happen that fish doesn't bite for more than a hour. But patience always pays off. Dawn is the time when fish is most active until sun is up, when its the time to go home.
Usually we stay at night fishing approximately 8 hours.
