We are ready, full of enthusiasm, we have prepared a long-line with 50 hooks. We have another two hours until sunset. As we drive up to the position for the long-line, preparing the bait and bait the line. Sunny beautiful day, rosy sunset gives a hint that the night will be bright and warm. Every now and then we look toward the flag, well everything is fine. It's getting dark and we still see the light of flag long line. A little strange, as many falling darkness to see less the light, and after a while it can not longer see, but we know it's there somewhere. It is good, we caught about 2 kg (4.4 pounds) of fish. Let's boot lines and go for a few hours to fish on our hot spot, and let's go home. Raise anchor, but something is wrong, the anchor is not holding, so current move us little by little from our position. Well I guess we are not too moved (not at all). Where is the long line? Where are the flags of the long line? We started toward him, but where is it? I don't see the light, obviously current was moved us much further than we tough. Never mind we have information on the GPS. But we've never used a GPS, so let's try. We keep going right and left, up and down, but nowhere long line. A little further away from us, some fishing boat all the time going from left to right, and little by little gets on my nerves. Night fishing- conger
Conger (conger conger) according to the literature can grows up to 2.30 m (7,6 feet) and weighs 48 kg (105.8 pounds) but caught the specimens and more than 2.5 m (8 feet) and weigh more than 70 kg (154 pounds). Night fishing - gilt poll
Her majesty - queen gilt poll (on the head between the eyes has a golden crown in the shape of a crescent moon) the best of the best. The most delicious flesh of all white fish (personal opinion), prepared in all possible ways.
Gilt poll (sparus aurata) grows to 0.60 meters (1.96 feet) and reaches a wight of 10 kg (22 pounds) can be found everywhere along the coast, usually at depths up the 10 meters (32 feet) and can go down and more than 50 meters (164 feet). Gilt poll is born as male, to sexual maturity achieved a weight of 0.50 kg (1.1 pound) and after the first spawning rest of his life carried out as female.
Gilt poll on virtually everything, from snails, crabs, cephalopods to shellfish, sea-urchins and even small sea cucumbers. Shellfish are her favourite food, his armour crushed without any problems with her strong jaws and several rows of plate- like teeth. So gilt poll can be found on shell farms which devastated and can cause large losses.
On one occasion while i was diving armed with spear gun, i had opportunity to see gilt poll crashing head in the sea-urchin??? Quite surprised I have continued to follow from a safe distance that breaks the sea urchin, which was succeeded after the second attempt, and catered his juicy meat. Night fishing - saddled seabream
Saddled sea bream (oblada melanura), very fast swimmer. Although there are underdeveloped teeth and small mouth, a major predator and belongs to the very predatory fish. Grows up to 30 cm (11.8 inch) in lenght and 0.60 kg (1.32 pounds) of weight. Is most often found at depths between 5 and 20 meters (16-64 feet) although we can find at depths up to 70 meters (229 feet). Usually retains the bottom half, between the surface and bottom. Saddled sea bream does not like unclean sea, so it will not be found in polluted ports and harbours. Its meat is tasty.
Best fishing begins at dusk, when the moon is full, and with active alluring.
OK lets start. The fishing position come when dusk begins, and in the sky we can see moon in all its splendour. fishing position we choose the cape of some of the island towards the open sea. Anchor at a depth of about 7 meters (22 feet). It is desirable that the current pushing the boat towards to open sea. then we begin to allure. Ground bait usually prepared from old bread, cheese, flour and fish parts, or only the simplest of old bread. It is essential to well mixed and chop into dust, because we do not want to feed the fish, but the only scent to attract. when we trow ground bait most preferably in the sea looks like a cloud. Bait is made from the same material as we do ground bait. In a very short period of time should occur a flock of hungry saddled sea bream from the deep attracted by the smell of ground bait. On the surface should hear the squelch of a fish, it's a sign that we to descend fishing line with hooks into the sea. Preferably strong current. If we hit well all aspects of fishing, fishing should be plentiful. We release the line to where we saw ( don't forget that we fishing under the full moon) and hear that appeared fish. Very soon should be followed by a snap.
When the currents weaken it would be desirable insert the float in the system. Because incarnates lower current, and after short time system without float returns back.

The charms of night fishing
Once we get the early evening, we have the opportunity to watch the sunset over the sea. Which is always beautiful scenes and each is different. When night falls we have the opportunity to watch the stars in the sky. In night fishing is not rare to see a comet (boulders composed of rock and ice, which remain still the foundation of the solar system), meteors (shooting stars that leave a trail of lights, from burning when entering the earth's atmosphere) and asteroids (space bodies revolves around the sun along with the planets). When it is cloudy, the sky is coloured with amazing colours, and even there is lighting that is beautiful, than we expect rain. When the rain starts to fall we are happy that we suck bring raincoats. If rain does not fall, we are happy that we have not soaked ( who would meet us). And then dawn and sunrise - always something wonderful. Every now and then we talk ourselves: who can pay for this?!
